    10:22 Seriously - is there any backstory to the Taycan getting lapped by all Model3s in the end over 27 Laps - 55km of racing? that's emberassing

      At least it made it to lap 10 this time, as they took it a bit easier, rather than the last two rounds where it’s shot off the front and then died after two laps.

      @@_baumi_ there is backstory. They designed it to do a full lap of the Nurburgring of 23km. After that, it's battery drops too low and throttles back the performance. This is the opposite of what they promised. The Model 3 is way closer.

      @@_baumi_ Not that I'm aware of, and it surprises me as well. As you said Porsche made a big deal about repeatable launches, and I've never seen any review that has made any mention of performance issues. Another guy on here made a good point in a comment that it's a bigger/higher-end car than the Model 3, so should be compared with the S, and maybe that has the same issue. Maybe it's just a one-off issue with this car or the way it's being driven?

    Makes me wanna play gran turismo again. EV racing looks fun! Battery management and thermal systems will need to be updated to be able to handle the conditions.

    Why does the Taycan overheat so much? Every porsche fanboy told me that is such a good track machine backed by many years of experience in the internal combustion car racing scene

      Because it's much heavier, so the energy which gets cycled through the system is much higher

      @@flyingernst it just carries around a heavy inefficient battery with a really bad thermal management system; expected alot more after all that bullshit advertisements of how it is so much better on the track than other cars - at least it finished in front of the nissan leafs lmao
